So here I am; it's almost 3 in the morning and I'm still awake. I figured I might do something
slightly productive while trying to make my brain stop spinning with stupid things. I was thinking about one of my favorite things to do... DRESS UP!

My roommates and I were in the Storybook Parade that Cedar does every year. As you can see we were Teletubbies. We rode in the back of a sweet old puple convertable. Guess which one I am...(oh ok, i'll tell you, I'm LaLa, the yellow one. ) p.s. those heads get sooooo hot, and they stink soooo bad!

I know it doesn't look like me, first of all because I'm black, but it rocks. I was totally a Jamacian one year for Halloween, and I won the best costume prize. :) I got like a $25 gift card to the movies.

I love musicals! One of my favorite musicals to dress up for (besides The Music Man) was Seussical the Musical! I was Mrs. Mayor. I had a husband named Mr. Mayor, and a daughter named JoJo. It was the best show ever and i got to spray my hair pink!

Me and my roommate Bri dressin' up as cowgirls for the rodeo.

Dressed up in an authentic Russian hat. (That's Zion in the background)

One night Bri and I decided to have a truly rockin' guitar hero party! We danced and danced, and rocked and rocked. Plus I have fish nets on and it doesn't get much better than that! To cool off we climbed up on our roof and looked at the stars that night. :)

My friend Anisa wasn't fully "dressed" for the occassion yet but those are my favorite glasses ever! Of course I only get to wear them when I'm at California Adventure, but the 3-D Bug's Life movie is my favorite! I would dress up in those glasses anyday.

On Valentines Day in high school I decided that because no one like me enough to give me chocolate and flowers I would make the best of it and dress up like a freak anyway! I got my pink Converse for 15 bucks and I love them. They fit the occassion perfectly. Thanks Ari for the awesome striped tights and the little pink boxer shorts. Oh, and my Hello Kitty shirt has Hello Kitty with an affro. (does afro/affro have one or two f's?) Good memories.

It's kind of the same situation here, the same old, same old "spirit day" at school. Springville is like the most not spirited school, so once again I make the best of it and dress up anyway. :)

I found that "shirt" I'm wearing at a park in California. It's off a palm tree but it was incredibly amazing and so I just had to dress up. (Thanks Malachi for helping out with the photo shoot. :) )

Girls camp. Skit night. Need I say more?

Mud volleyball is probably one of my favorite things ever! You get covered with mud, freeze, spray off with the hose, try and dry off outside while freezing before you're allowed in the house. Stuff as many friends in your shower as possible (mostly clothed), get mud out of hair, clog the drain with mud, get mud out of hair, get mud out of body crevices, get mud out of hair...find mud on the ceiling of your bathroom weeks later. Good Times...yup. :)
I saved my favorite "dress ups" for last....... See if you can guess what I truly am inside. :)

You guessed it! An old lady! It's by far my favorite costume, not only do I look rad, (not to brag...) but I can play the part. I just have to point out the subtle things that complete each costume. Knee highs that aren't knee high. Gold watch. Pearl necklaces. Shawls. Big glasses. Tape on glasses. Wigs. High belts and saggy boobs. Umbrellas and feather boas. The perfect "slouch" and shuffle walk. Stomach sticking out. Awesome purse. No teeth? Pumps and flat shoes. Anyway, you get the point. A lot of thought goes into these costumes. My mom of course dosn't appreciate that some of these items came from her drawers and closet. :)
I should probably put a disclaimer...I love old people and old ladies! This is not meant to disrespect anyone! In all honestly I'm going to live my life being young now, but when I get old, I'm going to truly get old, knee highs and all. I respect the elderly so much. They are so smart and wise. I hope to someday be there, and be able to be a lot smarter and wiser than I am now.
It's now officially 3:57 and I really should try and sleep because I'm going to Springville in like 4 hours. Have an awesome weekend everyone! (or whoever reads my blog).
